How It Works
BPC-157 (Body Protection Compound-157) is a synthetic pentadecapeptide derived from a protein found in human gastric juice. It consists of 15 amino acids and has been extensively studied in animal models for its remarkable healing properties.
The peptide works through multiple mechanisms: it upregulates growth hormone receptor expression in injured tissues, promotes angiogenesis (new blood vessel formation), and modulates the nitric oxide system. These combined effects accelerate the healing of tendons, ligaments, muscles, bones, and gastrointestinal tissue.
Benefits
- Accelerated healing of tendons, ligaments, and muscles in animal studies
- Gastroprotective effects — protects and heals gut lining
- Neuroprotective properties demonstrated in rodent models
- Anti-inflammatory effects through modulation of the nitric oxide pathway
- May improve blood vessel formation at injury sites
Side Effects
- Generally well-tolerated in animal studies with no reported organ toxicity
- Injection site reactions (redness, mild pain) — common with subcutaneous injection
- Mild nausea — occasionally reported, especially with oral dosing
- Dizziness — rarely reported
- No significant adverse effects documented in published literature

| Administration | Subcutaneous injection near injury site, or oral for gut applications |
| Cycle Length | 4-8 weeks |
| Titration | Start at 250mcg and increase to 500mcg if tolerated |
